Care & Maintenance

Characteristics of your aberrant design

Each and every design we produce has its own unique richness, depth of color, mottling effects and characteristics with no two pieces ever looking exactly alike. Small bugholes and voids are purposely left in areas, giving each design it's own distinctive personality. Superficial crazing will add to your aberrant designs’ organic feel. Concrete is the perfectly imperfect material. And that is what we love about it. We are very passionate about our art. We simply love what we make and wish for you to love what you purchase.

Caring for your aberrant design

Like any other stone surface, concrete is inherently porous and requires a certain amount of care & maintenance to preserve your concrete designs appearance. Care should be taken to remove spills as promptly as possible. Certain liquids, if left in contact for extended periods of time, (such as red wines, fruit juices, and coffee) could stain and etch your concrete surface.

Sealing

Your aberrant design has been studio sealed with a penetrating sealer that provides excellent protection by inhibiting the absorption of substances in contact with the surface. Re-sealing should be done on a simi-annual to annual basis.

Waxing

A natural wax has been studio applied to your concrete design by aberrant designs. Periodic re-application of wax can be done as often as every month in high traffic areas. In most cases, every 3-6 months will keep your aberrant design looking great.

With routine care & maintenance, your aberrant design
will be enjoyed for a lifetime.
